SO WHAT MAKES PRIORY SUCH A WONDERFUL PLACE IN WHICH TO GROW UP AND LEARN?
A very warm welcome
Headteacher’s Welcome
On behalf of all my colleagues and the Governing Council at Priory School, I welcome you to our website and hope that we may welcome you to our school soon.
Priory School is a very special place. Our beautiful and historic campus is home to children of all ages; from our little Poppets approaching their first birthday to those applying for medicine, engineering, or law in our Sixth Form.
By day, we become a very special family. Our children, your children, are surrounded by kind and ambitious adults who feel privileged to provide your children with the very best start in life. We, as adults, are the sum of our childhoods, and this is why we work so closely with parents and one another to ensure every child can thrive: socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
A happy, loved, and secure child is destined to live out their best life. At Priory School, we provide the foundation that ensures every little (or not so little) person in our care can thrive and fulfil their dreams with courage and compassion.
I hope that you will navigate our website and learn more about what it is to be a Poppet or pupil at Priory School. I hope that we can provide helpful glimpses and insights with the knowledge that the very best way to understand and appreciate what it means to attend Priory School is to visit us during or around school hours.
I would be delighted to meet you, show you our school, and talk about the ways in which we secure that very best start in life for every Poppet, Prep, and Senior student who attends our school.

Our Heritage
Priory School has been providing children with an exceptional education for over 80 years. Set in fantastic grounds with over 14 acres of beautiful gardens and playing fields, our pupils have a unique opportunity to be educated in a truly historical and inspirational setting.
EYFS OUTSTANDING (Ofsted, 2019)
Our son achieved outstanding GCSE results. The only B was in maths which is remarkable in itself given that he has dyscalculia! The staff instil a “can-do” attitude and encourage students to raise their aspirations, empowering pupils to achieve the very best. A huge thank you to all of the staff at Priory School who turned around a young man whose confidence had been battered by his poor 11 plus performance.
Parent, Year 11 Pupil
My son thrives in Mrs Bradley’s and Mrs Wilkes’ class. He absolutely loves going to school and both of these ladies are amazing with the children. I love the creative curriculum and the focus on the child not results attitude of the school.
