Year 4 are Signing in the Rain!

Posted on October 05, 2018

Year 4’s assembly was far from a washout, despite starting with raindrops and umbrellas when the children entered the hall dancing to the strains of ‘Singing in the Rain’. In a polished, confident performance the children showed their understanding of the importance of clean water and hygiene, acknowledging how lucky we are to have the rain, which gives us plentiful supplies of clean water in our country.

They shared the work of CAFOD in supporting communities in gaining clean water sources, and their knowledge of the religious symbolism of water in the Sacrament of Baptism, singing a beautiful rendition of the hymn ‘Water of Life’. They finished their excellent assembly with sunshine after the rain with a special message to their parents, singing to them ‘You Are My Sunshine’. Well done Year 4!
