Priory School congratulates its GCSE scholars as it has seen the best set of examination results to date.
Pupils at the school, of all talents and abilities, have performed exceedingly well with 86.5% of Year 11 pupils achieving at least 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics at grade 5 or above. This is a testament to the academic excellence and personal progress attained by pupils across the whole curriculum.
The school is delighted with the results in Core Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Art, Food Preparation and Nutrition, Music and Product Design, as 100% of pupils have achieved a grade 4 or above.
Further, over 90% of pupils achieved a grade 4 or above in Additional Science, Physical Education, English Language and English Literature and over 85% of pupils achieving grade 4 or above in Mathematics, French and Religious Education.
This cohort has produced a strong set of the very top grades at GCSE; in particular Geography, History and Chemistry exceeded national averages at Grade 9 and the majority of subjects exceeded national averages at Grade 7 or above.
Pupils have well and truly outdone themselves this year and Priory School acknowledges many of its star performers for their remarkable results, including Jawad, Qasim, Ahmed, Bilal, Kashmir, Aaliyah, Kashef, Muqeet and Shreyas who achieved multiple high-grade numbers across all of their examinations.
Headmaster Jonathan Cramb said: “The fantastic teaching team at Priory School is committed to raising the aspirations of all our students and I am once again delighted by the progress and results they have achieved today. They have been rewarded by achieving our best ever results at GCSE for their diligence, perseverance and commitment, and are well prepared for the next stage of their education including the possibility of moving up into our Sixth Form. The whole Priory community offers congratulations and wishes them well for the future.”
