“Together we achieve more”

Friends of Priory is the Parents’ Association at Priory School. It is designed to support the school, raise funds, organise events and make a connection between school, parents and the community.

  • A dedicated team of volunteers
  • A vibrant programme of social and fundraising events
  • A lucrative track record

Three years ago a promise was made to the pupils of Priory School to actively invest in their future and commence a campaign of new buildings housing state of the art facilities. Three years later the promise is kept.

During the last academic year, with the help of parents the Friends of Priory have funded a brand new multi-gym, plasma information screens in both the Prep and Senior School reception areas, art enrichment projects, floodlighting for outdoor fields, provided audio equipment for the school hall, purchased brand new BBQ equipment and supplied benches for the outdoor area. In previous years, they have funded a new multi-purpose sports pavilion, a zoned play area for children and equipment for the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

The next phase incorporates a high tech science block which will make Priory School the undisputed home of Science, technology, engineering and mathematics in Birmingham, placing it at the forefront of academic developments in this field.

Further expansion will see a modern sports centre and gymnasium, an innovative design technology suite, and senior school classrooms, all of which will enhance the facilities providing a nurturing and revolutionary learning environment for our students from six months to eighteen years.

Throughout each academic year, Friends of Priory organise and support a series of fundraising events including a BBQ, the Fireworks Party, a Christmas Fayre and pupil film nights.

Friends of Priory always welcome new parent volunteers to either join the committee or help to organise events. For more information on the work of Friends of Priory or if you would like to get involved, please contact

Priory School is a historic building boasting fourteen acres of rolling parkland and Elizabethan gardens designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown; all within a stone’s throw of central Birmingham. The building is a grade II listed and has been a former girl’s convent school and a school for the sons of naval officers. It effortlessly combines historical elegance with a contemporary and revolutionary approach to education in a ‘though school’ setting.
