Art

Personal development is a very important feature of the Art course. A broad and balanced course is taught and a wide range of disciplines covered including the core subjects of painting and drawing, printmaking, ceramics, computer graphics and three-dimensional modeling. Different types of craft work are also undertaken using a variety of mixed mediums.

At A Level Students can opt to take Fine Art or Photography

Music

Whether intending to follow a career in music, or just wishing to enjoy and broaden their musical interests and skills, students following the AS/A2 music course at Priory take three modules each year - developing their skills in performing, composition and aural perception.

Benefiting from small class sizes and a course that can be tailored to suit individual interests, our students are introduced to a wide variety of music, focusing in particular on that from the western classical traditions and jazz.

Our sixth-form students are encouraged to play an active and leading role in the thriving musical life of the school, with regular opportunities for both solo and ensemble performances.

Media Studies
Media Studies at Priory School aims to enable students to study the distinctive contributions that the mass media make to their understanding and enjoyment of the world in which they live. Through a variety of approaches to the media environment, including practical production, students develop a critical and analytical approach to both media texts and institutional ideologies.
