Speech as an extra-curricular subject

Speech is a popular extra-curricular subject here at Priory School - and it’s not hard to see why.

The obvious benefits from attending Speech Classes are:

- Increased confidence in Public Speaking

- The joy of working with a rich heritage of texts

- The knowledge gained from technique

- A certificate from every examination you pass!

The examining body is The London Academy of Music and Drama, commonly known as LAMDA. They are a well-established and highly recognised body. They recently achieved status from the Quality Curriculum Authority none the less!

But that’s not all!

Certain examinations - grade 6 and above - carry extra UCAS points. UCAS points are the way that you gain entrance to university. Between 20 and 65 are available. They could make a huge difference to gaining the place at a university of your choice or even gaining a place at all.
