Drama is a subject which requires that you give a lot. You give of your time. You give of your energy. You give of yourself. In return the rewards are huge. There is no substitute for the feeling you get when you receive the applause after performing. There is no substitute for the feeling you get when you have become another person - albeit temporarily! During lessons we look at many different topics including Pantomime, Fairytales and the Titanic.

If you decide you want more, then the option is there for you to take this subject at GCSE where you get to perform your own piece. Drama GCSE results for the past 4 years have been 100% A*-C!

Drama isn’t all about acting though. Every play requires technical skills: lighting, sound, costumes and properties. It's fun!

However, there is a more serious side to this subject, which is often overlooked. Drama training helps you academically. It is a subject which instills self-discipline and therefore helps you organise your life - especially in the crucial key stage 4.
