HISTORY at Key Stage 3

Year 9  Equaino Exhibition

Year 9 have been studying a module on the British Empire and Slavery. As part of their studies they were given the opportunity to visit an exhibition at  Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The exhibition highlighted the life of former slave, writer and abolitionist, Olaudah Equiano. The girls spent the afternoon interacting with the  multimedia displays  which enabled them to explore the fascinating story in more depth. Each pupil had the opportunity to share with the group the information they had found and the afternoon concluded with a lively debate.
