The winners of each class went on to the grand final where one list of more difficult words were tested. The overall winner was Zoe Mistry in year 8 who saw off stiff competition from years 9 to the sixth form to be crowned champion speller. Congratulations also to Claudia Marie Nichols who came second.

Year 7 Board Game Competition December 2007
As part of their literacy lessons on ‘writing to instruct’, students designed and built their own board games with a set of written instructions. The rules were that they were not allowed to explain to their fellow students how to play their game; they had to work it out from the instructions alone. After playing each others games the students voted on their favourite. Congratulations to Sofia Joannou, Chloe Tonks and Aston Anderton who were our winners.
