Established in Edgbaston in 1936 as one of the Convent schools of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ) the School changed its name in 2001 to Priory School. The sisters of the SHCJ ceased managing the school in 1986, but have maintained close contact and continue to take a friendly interest in the school's future.

The academic year 2006-2007 marked our Seventieth Anniversary and a reunion of former pupils and staff took place on Sunday 24 June 2007.
