Prep Netball Team Qualify for Birmingham Finals and Finish 4th in Midland ISA Competition

 

The Prep Netball continue to defy the odds by qualifying for the Birmingham Catholic Netball Finals where they finished 4th. The girls also competed in the Midland ISA Netball competition and performed showing great determination and skill by finishing 4th. Well done!

Monday 5th October:

Priory 7 – 20 Edgbaston Girls

The Year 8 netball team played away against EHS and despite a strong competitive performance in the first two quarters, Priory were unable to gain the advantage in the third and fourth quarter with EHS eventually winning 20 - 7.There were strong performances from Jyoti Mathu in defence, Georgina Timms in attack; with Natalina Morrison and Alice Bentley- Walls awarded joint player of the match.

Wednesday 30th September:

Priory 14 – 20 St. Georges

A mixed Priory Netball Team played against St George’s and despite some better play in the third and fourth quarter of the game, Priory could not overcome the 8 goal deficit of the first quarter and lost 14 – 20. There were excellent performances from Natalina Morrison, Alice Bentley- Walls, Georgina Timms (Yr 8 ) and Destiny York (Yr 9) but the outstanding performance of the match went to Maria Curadrado (Yr 9 ) for her exceptionally accurate shooting in the last quarter of the game.  

Thursday 8th October:

 

Priory 1 – 14 Edgbaston

 

The Year 7 netball team played in a match against EHS after school on Thursday and despite their valiant effort in this very first fixture, they lost 14 - 1. Aside from the result, there were some very good individual performances from Taneal Morris (Year 6), Kate Lee, Lauren May Browne but Priory player of the match was awarded to Alexis Alexander for her strong, competitive effort in the centre of the court.
