In partnership with parents, Priory School provides a caring community with high standards of teaching and learning. The School embraces the positive impact and educational benefits that can be achieved through the appropriate use of the internet and associated communication technologies, but we are also aware that inappropriate or misguided use can expose both adults and young people to unacceptable risks and dangers. Priory School therefore aims to provide a safe and secure environment which not only protects all people on the premises but also educate them on how to stay safe in the outside world.
As part of Safer Internet Week 2010 which begins on 8th February, Priory School is hosting a series of events, assemblies and specific lessons focusing on how to use the internet safely.
Safer Internet Week is a European wide initiative which aims to make parents, teachers and children more aware of how to use the Internet safely and, most importantly, what to do when things go wrong.
In addition to the events and assemblies held within the school, there will also be an esafety drop in session for parents held on Monday 22nd February at 4pm which will provide an opportunity for parents and carers to come and find out more about this important issue.
