As the new Headmaster of Priory School in Edgbaston, I am delighted to welcome you to our website. 

Priory School welcomes children of all cultures and abilities, bringing them together to be successful individuals, whatever their unique gifts and talents are.  Our focus is on helping every child exceed their own expectations, whilst at the same time ensuring they feel happy and secure in a safe and supportive environment which we refer to as “the Priory family”. 

 

Life at Priory is incredibly diverse with wide-ranging opportunities for each child to fulfil themselves academically, musically, culturally and in sport.  The overall experience creates confident, well-rounded individuals who are able to work as a team, whilst at the same time demonstrating independent thinking and developing leadership qualities. 

Of course we're very proud of our academic results which makes us one of the top schools in Birmingham.  However, what drives us is a commitment to delivering success for every child entrusted in our care. 

We're as dedicated to providing the specialist support for children who struggle in the classroom with challenges such as dyslexia as we are to stretching the academically gifted to exceed their potential.  

We are also committed to widening opportunity and through our scholarship scheme more children are able to benefit from the Priory experience.

We now accept boys into Years 7 & 8 of our Senior School and shall be fully co-educational by 2011.  Boys and Girls are taught separately in core subjects such as English and Mathematics, whilst together in the Humanities and the Performing Arts.  This allows the necessary separation for academic success whilst enabling the social preparation for life in University and beyond.
